INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS (IFS), INDIVIDUAL, COUPLES, AND FAMILY THERAPY IN RIDGEFIELD, CT
All parts of you are welcome here.
“ The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.”
- Joseph Campbell
My name is Jennifer Mayette, LMFT, and I offer trauma-informed family, relationship, and individual therapy to help you navigate trauma, PTSD, anxiety, addiction, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and more.
I specialize in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy – also called parts work – which allows you to get to know each “part” of yourself, regulate emotions, and improve your problem-solving skills outside of our work together.
Many people who have previously been in traditional talk therapy find the transformational power of IFS brings about a whole new level of healing and change.
The model is a great tool for being in a better relationship with your core, authentic Self.
Through the lens of IFS, we believe that each part of you is like a member of your own internal family. This also means each part has its own perspective, feelings, memories, goals, and motivations that shape how you think, feel, and form relationships with others.
By exploring and listening to your parts, we can slow down your internal chatter and get to know the extreme beliefs and feelings that you carry.
Through my collaborative, nonpathologizing approach, you will gain a calmness and clarity that will empower you to new, more effective ways of relating to yourself, others and the world.
Starting therapy is a brave choice. I hope to offer you a space filled with compassion, curiosity, and clarity.
Let’s begin the process with a free 10-15 minute phone call for you and I to assess whether my style of therapy and training best fits what you are looking for in treatment.
“Nothing will work unless you do.”
